Game Story
Jack Morris
Born: 1712 – England
Jack Morris grew up as the son of a poor blacksmith. At a young age, he began to gain a reputation for his intelligence and his talent for picking locks. In 1734, he was arrested on charges of committing a major robbery at the home of a wealthy merchant and was sent to prison as a serious offender.
Jack Morris spent 17 years in prison. During this time, he carefully observed the guards' routines, the door locks, and the prison's layout. He spent years planning his escape.
He put his plan into action on a stormy night. He managed to get out of his cell and was on the verge of freedom. However, he was spotted by a guard when he reached the final door.
He was executed in the prison courtyard without trial at the place where he was captured.
Jack Morris lost his life just steps away from freedom.
